Our process combines rigorous supervision, efficient project management, inventive design, state-of-the-art technology and unparalleled craftsmanship.

Our Program beginning with our award winning in house design team McNaughton Development Inc. has received more than 100 gold key awards for architecture and design in the Chicago land area.

1.	We start our process with an initial conceptual meeting where one of our project managers will use our hundreds of stock plans and photographs to find a sketch or concept that is right for you. Our sales team will then assist you in selecting a lot from one of our many communities. We also have available resources for larger off site parcels if our inventory is not to your liking. 2.	Once we have a concept our project managers and interior designers will guide you through the design process with one of our recognized architects. We have an exclusive three draft process in which we will modify drawings and specifications to meet each client’s needs, design and budget. Our team is well versed on the current design trends and technology in order to be sure your home includes the latest and greatest products available.

Our staff of engineers and site development coordinators will strategically plot the footprint of your home on the lot you have selected in order to achieve optimal lookout or walkout potential. A grading plan will be designed and storm water run off will be calculated in order to promote positive drainage.
	4.	Once plans are completed, (approximately 4-6 weeks), a construction agreement is finalized: including a detailed building specification, complete pricing, payment plan and a full set of working blueprints.

5.	Once the necessary village application procedures have been met construction begins. Each project will have a dedicated site superintendent and field service staff, who will work effortlessly to ensure quality control. 6.	Once construction begins our project managers and interior design staff will walk you through our custom catered selection process. We believe that the key to quality and perfection is by simply using the best trades and materials. We have carefully selected a group of vendors that meet exclusively with our clients one on one to custom design each component of your home including roofing, masonry, stone, lighting fixtures, flooring sections, cabinet designs, millwork selection, countertop choices, paint colors, audio/video/media, wine and specialty rooms, pool/spas and more.

Click for Larger Image	7.	The final step in our process is essential to achieve the unsurpassed quality and craftsmanship McNaughton Development is known for. We have developed a series of cross checks by our site superintendents to make certain no detail has been overlooked. Our full time service coordinator will take each client through two pre-occupancy walkthroughs. During the first walkthrough we will compile a short client punch list, usually composed of cosmetic items. The second walkthrough takes place immediately prior to closing and is to ensure that all of our client’s expectations have been exceeded. Our service staff is available daily for immediate attention to warranty items for up to one year after closing.
